Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 September 2026
DropBin.net (“DropBin”, “we”, “us”) is a file sharing and storage service. By using the site you agree to these terms.
1. The service
You may upload files as a guest or create an account.
- Guest uploads: no account required. Files are deleted 7 days after upload.
- Accounts: after registration you can store files. Each account has 10 GB of storage. Files stay until you delete them or the account is closed, unless we remove them under these terms.
Folders can be shared with others for viewing. Shared viewers cannot change your files unless we add that later and say so.
2. Data folders
Accounts may use data folders. These folders have an extra access barrier compared with ordinary folders (for example they are not exposed by a normal view-link the same way). They are still stored on our systems. Do not treat them as a vault for secrets we cannot technically access, unless we later document encryption that only you control.
3. Images
Images larger than 5 MB are compressed by default to save space. You can turn this off. If compression is on, the stored file may not be identical to the original.
4. Connection
The site is served over HTTPS. That protects data in transit between your browser and our servers. It does not by itself encrypt files at rest or hide files from someone who has the link.
5. Your responsibilities
You must have the right to upload and share what you upload. You must not use DropBin for:
- malware, phishing, or other harmful software
- content that is illegal where you or we operate
- copyrighted material you do not have permission to share
- child sexual abuse material (we will report and remove it)
- harassment, stolen personal data, or attempts to break the service
You are responsible for who you give links to. A view-link is enough for someone to see that folder or file.
6. Our rights
We may refuse, limit, or delete files or accounts if they break these terms, look like abuse, threaten the service, or if we are required to by law. We may change limits, features, or these terms. If a change is important, we will update the date on this page.
Storage is not a backup service. Keep your own copies of anything important. We are not liable for lost, changed, or leaked files, downtime, or compression changing an image.
7. Accounts
You must keep your login details safe. We may close accounts that are unused, abusive, or over quota. If we close an account, stored files may be deleted.
8. Privacy
How we handle account data, logs, and files is described in the Privacy Policy. We may keep technical logs (for example IP addresses) for security and abuse handling.
